Alton continued their good form with a 3-2 victory at Sandhurst Town in the Combined Counties Premier Division South.
The Brewers took the lead just before half-time through Alex McAllister’s header.
Siph Mdalolose doubled Alton’s lead early in the second half.
Charlie Sell pulled a goal back for Sandhurst from the penalty spot, and Shane Qoloni’s equaliser made it 2-2.
The Brewers won a late penalty, and Adam Poynter held his nerve from the spot to give Alton the three points.
Alton manager Kevin Adair said: “It maybe wasn’t our best performance but we delivered in the key moments to get the win.
“That’s the key difference to earlier in the season.
“Sandhurst played good, technical football and made it difficult for us.”
