LISS Athletic reached the next round of the Hampshire Premier League Senior Cup after earning a comprehensive 8-1 win at Michelmersh and Timsbury on Saturday afternoon.

Joshua Benfield scored the visitors’ first goal in the 16th minute, and Brandon Bowman scored Liss’ second on 20 minutes.

J Benfield then scored his second and Liss’ third in the 38th minute.

The floodgates opened in the second half and Callum Benfield scored Liss’ fourth on 60 minutes. C Benfield scored again in the 80th minute and the 86th minute to complete his hat-trick, and Thomas Leigh scored Liss’ seventh goal on 87 minutes.

Bowman then scored his second and Liss’ eighth goal of the afternoon in the 89th minute.
