Farnham Town manager Paul Johnson was pleased to pick up another three points after his side won 4-0 at home to Horley Town in the Combined Counties Premier Division South on Saturday.
Shamal Edwards broke the deadlock at The Memorial Ground in the 25th minute when he turned home a cross from Dean Rule.
Rule doubled Farnham’s lead on 49 minutes when he slotted into the bottom right-hand corner. Substitute Kai Tanner scored the third in the 76th minute from close range.
Substitute Charlie Postance completed the scoring on 90 minutes when he headed home from close range.
“We were a little bit scrappy in the first half, but we really stepped it up in the second half and it was all one-way traffic,” said Johnson.
“Getting the second goal just after half-time knocked the stuffing out of Horley.”
Dean Rule was named Farnham’s man-of-the-match, and Johnson was delighted with his performance.
“Dean was superb and was a real threat,” he said.
Farnham captain Guy Hollis has left the club to join National League South outfit Farnborough.
Ryan Kinnane, who captained the side regularly earlier this season when Hollis was injured, is the new club captain.
“We wish Guy all the best,” said Johnson. “At his age it might be the last chance for him to play at that level.”
