Aldershot Town progressed into the fifth round of the FA Trophy in emphatic fashion with an 8-0 win against Chertsey Town.
Kai Corbett’s hat-trick plus Jonny Stuttle’s double and goals from Christian Maghoma, James Henry and Ryan Jones ended Chertsey's furthest-ever venture into the FA Trophy.
The game got off to the perfect start for the Shots when centre-back Maghoma opened the scoring in the fifth minute.
Josh Barrett's corner found Maghoma who saw his initial shot blocked before holding off his marker and finding the back of the net.
The hosts doubled their advantage five minutes later when Ashley Akpan delivered a perfect low cross from the right for Henry to have an easy finish.
The 15th minute should have brought an early third goal for the Shots.
Dejan Tetek and Henry played a quick one-two and Tetek chipped the ball over the Chertsey defence to find the run of Barrett, but after chesting the ball down and volleying at goal the post denied Barrett.
Ryan Jones scored Aldershot's third in the 25th minute, as he took it upon himself to drive down the left while beating a couple of Chertsey defenders before firing a powerful strike into the top corner and leaving Nicky Jupp with no chance at his near post.
Barrett tried to chip Jupp from the edge of the area on 38 minutes but put a bit too much on his shot and cleared the crossbar.
Barrett then turned Ryan Jones' low cross just wide of the post three minutes before the break.
Two substitutions were made by the Shots at half-time as Stuttle and Tyler Frost replaced Barrett and Aaron Jones and Stuttle was involved early on as his smart through ball put Jack Barham through on goal only for the Shots striker to fire straight at Jupp.
Chertsey finally tested Shots keeper Marcus Dewhurst when Louis Degand forced him into action in the 53rd minute, before Dewhurst pulled off a superb double save to deny Conor Lee from close range five minutes later.
Corbett was introduced in the 67th minute and within four minutes he had scored the first of his three goals.
Cutting in from the left, Corbett bent a beautifully-placed shot into the corner that gave the Chertsey defence no hope and left Jupp stationary.
He should have his second not long later when Maxi Mullins rushed through on goal and had a perfect opportunity to square the ball to Corbett, only to try to score himself but Jupp pulled off a superb stop to deny him.
Stuttle then scored his first Shots goal and the hosts’ fifth of the afternoon in the 83rd minute and began an Aldershot rout for the final ten minutes. Corbett turned provider after breaking into the box and Stuttle's first-time finish found the bottom corner.
Corbett got his second goal two minutes later after going past a couple of defenders and firing a shot too powerful for Jupp to stop.
Stuttle scored his second of the afternoon in the 88th minute as Cameron Hargreaves’ powerful effort from outside the area was spilled by Jupp and Stuttle raced in to turn it in for Aldershot's seventh.
Corbett completed his hat-trick in stoppage time when he raced through on goal, rounded Jupp and finished into an open net to make it 8-0.
