Petersfield Golf Club professional coach Donovan Hall has been awarded a prestigious accolade for his success with the Operation 36 golf programme at the club.

Hall is one of only 13 coaches worldwide to be named a Master Op 36 Coach, an award given to those who have maintained Top 50 status for three consecutive years.

This recognition highlights Hall’s ability to create new golfers, host nine-hole events and consistently help players improve their skills.

Petersfield Golf Club manager Katie Laud said: “This is a fantastic achievement and richly deserved given Donovan's efforts with this programme over the years.

“Petersfield Golf Club is proud to be considered a Top 50 facility for Op 36.”

Petersfield resident Hall introduced the American-based Operation 36 programme to Petersfield Golf Club four years ago and is delighted to see its ongoing success.

He organises four six-week blocks every year, aligning with school term dates, and offers weekly group lessons along with bi-weekly nine-hole events.

Although initially focused on junior golfers, Hall’s programme now serves adult players as well, and more than 250 golfers have enjoyed his coaching.

“I believe that the Operation 36 model is the most effective method of improving golfers,” said Hall.

“It’s also the most sociable and fun way to learn the game.”

The Operation 36 programme has recently received further endorsement by Rory McIlroy.

Hall invites golfers of all ages to experience the Operation 36 programme at Petersfield Golf Club.

He said: “Whether you’re young, old, or somewhere in between, come and try Operation 36 at Petersfield Golf Club.

“It’s a great way to start or improve your golf journey.”
