Yateley Ladies III 2 Petersfield Ladies II 4: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ second team secured their first win of the season against Yateley Ladies’ third team.
The home side took the lead when the ball slipped past the defenders and Pearson.
Petersfield were quickly back on level terms though when a shot from Preston made it 1-1.
The midfield managed to stop the ball getting into the Petersfield half on multiple occasions but Preston continued to run rings around the Yateley midfield and defenders to slip another goal in before half time, making the score 2-1 to Petersfield.
O’Kelly made it 3-1 to the visitors in the second half, and a cracking cross from Pattie set up Purkiss for the fourth goal.
The game then had to stop when Pattie picked up an injury, and as Petersfield had only brought 11 players to Yateley the visitors had to play on with ten players.
Even though the ball had rarely been in the Petersfield D, Yateley took advantage of the injury and got their second goal in the last minute to make the final score 4-2.
Petersfield Ladies’ second team are now in sixth place in the Hampshire Division 4 (Women) table.
