PETERSFIELD Squash Club juniors and the juniors from the Taro Leisure Centre held their end of autumn term squash tournament on the last Saturday of the Easter holidays.

The children have been attending squash coaching sessions run by Petersfield Squash Club organised by Malcolm Peters, a Level 2 England squash coach.

The ages ranged from seven to 19 years old with a mix of both boys and girls.

The tournament consisted of a straight knock-out with first round losers competing in a plate competition.

The morning was busy with children taking responsibility for marking and scoring the matches.

The Taro Leisure Centre has three courts which helped to make the tournament very exciting as it allowed more matches to be played.

The honorary member Irena Owen Coates presented the awards.

The tournament winner was Brandon Wells, and the tournament runner-up was Archie Ingham-Thomas.

The plate winner was James Graham, and the plate runner-up was Zack Harris.

The most improved player was Ben Pratt, and the best sportsperson was Tom Stratford-Tuke.

The special award went to Archie McClung.
