A NUMBER of Petersfield Triathlon Club (PTC) members took part in a cycling time trial on a very windy Saturday afternoon.

This was a ten-mile timed event with both road and time trial bike categories starting near Liphook, riding up to the roundabout at the top of Rams Hill, and back to the finish line near Rake.

The PTC team of Leighton Jones, David Wells and Lucy Mitchell came third in the road bike category. Jones finished in 30min 26secs, Wells finished in 23min 36secs, and Mitchell, who was the fourth female home in her category, finished in 30min 33secs.

Rory Plewes, who finished in 27min 46secs, achieved the best time versus the target on his TT bike. A number of other local riders took part in the time trial. Rachel Clay finished in 30min 14secs, Josh Lahiri finished in 28min 10secs and Michael Chadwick finished in 30min 06secs.
