The Farnham & District Billiards & Snooker League has brought some of the game’s biggest names to Lindford WMC over the years for its annual presentation night.
They’ve included fan favourites like Jimmy White and multiple world champions Steve Davis and Mark Selby.
And you can add Mark Williams MBE to the list, as the victor from The Valleys graced the club’s green, green baize fresh from his “Champion of Champions” triumph.
The Welsh Potting Machine didn’t quite hit the form that won him silverware in Bolton, making just three half-century breaks in front of a bumper crowd.
Top break-builder Ryan Mears (81) and singles winner Nick Booth triumphed 63-23 and 67-52, respectively, although the pro showed his class in a 93-1 defeat of Division 3 top scorer Lee Coyne (57) and a 73-14 victory over a spirited Division Two scorer Mark Chatfield (49).
And although there was less chat than expected, the evening finished on a high note with Mark helping Neil Bonner to sink the black in an auctioned final frame.
