Specialist Door Solutions (SDS), based in Bordon, has unveiled The SDS Hub, an event, demonstration, and collaboration space in central London aimed at enhancing partnerships within the healthcare construction sector.
Located at Nutmeg House, near Tower Bridge, the Hub is designed to bring together stakeholders from all stages of healthcare facility development, including design, planning, construction, and supply chains.
Darren Woolsgrove, Managing Director at SDS, described the launch of The SDS Hub as a vital step in addressing the sector's evolving needs.
"As the healthcare construction industry transforms, the demand for advanced hospital facilities is rising," he said. "The SDS Hub provides a collaborative space to meet these challenges and ensure that hospitals are built to serve future healthcare delivery."
The Hub is a significant expansion for SDS, with more than 50 team members gathering at the launch event to explore the space and discuss future projects.
"We see increasing opportunities to partner with industry leaders, and the SDS Hub is at the heart of this new way of working," Woolsgrove added.
The space will also host events aimed at fostering knowledge sharing, with the Architects for Health Future Leaders event scheduled in the coming weeks.
Liam Gulliford from Hunters Architects, a key collaborator on The SDS Hub’s design, said: "SDS has delivered a flexible, open, and contemporary space that will facilitate collaboration among industry leaders."
Rick Lennard, Commercial Director for NHS England’s New Hospital Programme, called the initiative “fantastic".
