The Post recently shared details of Petersfield’s Remembrance Services but there are also services you can attend in Clanfield, Horndean and Liss.
Clanfield
For people living in Clanfield, the Parish Council and St James Church will be holding a service on Sunday, November 10 starting at 10.45am at the Clanfield Memorial Hall.
Horndean
Taking place in at the War Memorial in the village square, Horndean’s service will start around 10.40am on Remembrance Sunday.
Liss
On Remembrance Sunday in Liss, the parade will form at the RBL Club at 10.15am for the march off led by Liss Band to St Mary’s at 10.25am. Following the service, the parade will return to the War Memorial for the placing of wreaths and concluding service.
All RBL members along with other local ex-service personnel are requested to join the parade which will include all young people’s organisations.
Marshalled rolling road closures will affect parts of Rake Road, Mill Road, Hillbrow Road and Station Road between 10.10am and 10.50am, and between 11.30am and 12.20am to facilitate the parade and marches.
The short Armistice Day Service will be held the following day on Monday, November 11, at the War Memorial from 10.45am.
Travelling by train?
For those using the railway to get to Remembrance services, veterans and service personnel will be eligible for free travel on South Western Railway on the Sunday. The offer is available to anyone travelling in uniform or able to show an appropriate form of identification.
