Grayshott Folk Club will host a festive celebration on Friday, December 13 at 7.30pm, with the Melrose Quartet performing their seasonal show, "A Bright New Year". Following a challenging year, the event offers a chance to unwind and enjoy a lively evening of music and song.

The Melrose Quartet, featuring top folk musicians Nancy Kerr, James Fagan, Jess Arrowsmith, and Richard Arrowsmith, will bring their festive cheer through a mix of traditional carols and contemporary seasonal songs, including selections from their album The Rudolph Variations. The evening will feature audience participation, with choruses to join in, a Christmas jumper competition, and festive games with prizes.

Nancy Kerr, BBC Radio 2 Folk Singer of the Year 2015, is renowned for her work with The Magpie Arc, The Full English, and her award-winning duo with husband James Fagan. James, a multi-instrumentalist and singer, is celebrated for his collaborations with Nancy and many other renowned acts. Jess Arrowsmith, a skilled fiddler and singer, has performed with internationally acclaimed bands, while Richard Arrowsmith, known for his virtuoso melodeon playing, is a key figure in traditional dance music.
