Some residents in Clanfield have been treated to an early Christmas present this year.
The mysterious hedgehog knitter has been busy this festive season, knitting Christmas hedgehogs and leaving them with a note for locals to find around the village. People have been posting about the knitted hedgehogs since 2021.
The note reads: “Happy hedgehog Christmas special edition. Hello, if I brighten your day, pick me up and bring me home. I am here to spread love and joy and I come with warm hugs. I was made especially for you. You are loved, hugs!”
The small acts of kindness have also been spotted throughout the year, with different messages to put a smile on the finder’s face.
Posting on an online community board, one resident commented: “Lovely find on our walk to school this morning and my little girl was very happy. Thank you mystery hedgehog knitter.”
