Police have made a repeated plea to motorists not to leave valuables in their vehicles following two break-ins on rural lanes around the Butser area.

Items were taken from a vehicle parked on Hambledon Road between Clanfield and the Bat & Ball sometime between 8am and 3.15pm on Sunday, July 28.

Another break-in was reported the next day between 1.40pm and 2.15pm on Ramsdean Lane, Weston, with witnesses or anyone with possible dashcam footage urged to call 101 quoting 44240322369.

Thieves also stole equestrian items after breaking into a stable yard in Broadway Lane in Lovedean sometime overnight on Thursday, July 25.

Witnesses or anyone with CCTV, Dashcam or door bell footage should call 1010 quoting 44240317612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Motorists are encouraged to physically check doors and windows are locked, especially when a remote fob has been used, and look inside to ensure nothing has been left behind.
