Aldershot & Farnham (A&F) Hockey Club’s ladies’ first team drew 0-0 at Epsom Ladies in the South East Women’s Premier Division.

The opening minutes saw Epsom struggling to break through, with play largely concentrated around the middle of the pitch.

A promising move saw A&F’s Phoebe Bryant pass to Sophie Edwards, resulting in an attempt that struck the post.

The Shots' patient approach began to pay off, with their forwards intercepting passes and preventing Epsom from advancing.

Good connections between Sacha Mullins, Edwards and Charlotte Clive helped move the ball towards the opposition's defensive area.

As the half progressed A&F created multiple scoring opportunities and won several corners.

Epsom worked the ball into the D, but Shots keeper Taylor Goodrich stood firm and made a crucial save.

The second half started with both teams more stretched, which led to opportunities at both ends.

The match continued to be well contested, with the play becoming increasingly intense and open.

Edwards and Tammy Cherry came close to scoring, repeatedly putting balls across the face of the goal, but the Shots were unable to find the decisive touch.

The midfield battle became particularly fierce, with Hannah Wrench, Fiona Stewart and Emily Desmond passing and defending well.

Clive made multiple penetrating runs into the opposition's defensive area, although often found herself surrounded by Epsom players.

Grace Wilkinson made crucial interceptions that prevented Epsom from gaining a decisive advantage.
