If you have walked through Pages Court in Petersfield then chances are that you have met the youngest shop owner in town.

Three-year-old Margo loves to greet people as they walk by Margo’s Petersfield and strike up a conversation with them.

Parents and fellow owners of the shop, Jasmine Kerr and Barnaby Williams, opened the business in February 2024 and sell children's clothing and footwear, wooden toys and gifts.

Margo told The Post that one of her favourite toys is a little octopus and pointed out a variety of the colourful clothes that she likes, especially in the colour pink.

She added: “We sold out of the toys I like, but I have five favourite toys!”

When introducing their daughter to new followers on the shop’s social media page, her parents describe her as “one of a kind, from her quick wit to her kind nature she is everything we could have ever hoped her to be”.

Mr Williams said: “Margo is such a social one, she pulls people in and she has met lots of friends, including older people that walk past everyday. She goes out and freezes them, and she says she's Elsa.”

The shop is fast-approaching its one-year anniversary and for 2025, the family want to work more with smaller independents with an emphasis on local ones. With a focus on selling sustainable items, the family also want to try more events as well and see how people respond.

Mr Williams added: “We got nominated for Best New Business at the Petersfield Awards and we didn't win, but the fact that we got recommended was a milestone for us. People were talking about us and we got votes all across the board and it was nice to see that.”

If you want to pop in and say hello to Margo, the shop is open from 10am onwards.
