Sheet recreation ground had an afternoon of in-Seine fun last weekend as Olympic fever swept the village.
Villagers got into the mood for the Paris 2024 games by taking part in the inaugural Olympiad de Sheet.
There was definitely no stereotyping as baguettes were consumed by the dozen, le tricolour flew in the breeze and proceedings were overseen by Napoleon Bonaparte.
The games organised by the Sheet Village Community Trust with support from the parish and district council had a Gallic twist with competitions including an onion and spoon race and a waiter relay.
And if the results are a precursor for the main event, then expect lots of podium finishes for Kenya, Ukraine and India in the French capital.
The games were open to athletes of all ages with villagers encouraged to wear their finest French attire with the two highest-scoring teams facing off in a tug-of-war for gold. Magnifique!
