Farnham Town remain at the top of the Isthmian League South Central Division after an impressive 1-0 win at fellow promotion contenders Harrow Borough on Saturday afternoon.

Owen Dean’s 40th-minute goal was enough to give the visitors the three points.

Harrow won a penalty on 75 minutes, but Carl Stewart’s spot kick was saved by Farnham keeper Pat Nash.

Nash has since been recalled from his loan spell by parent club Aldershot Town.

Farnham wasted little time securing a replacement, and have announced the signing of goalkeeper Hugo Sobte from National League South outfit Slough Town.

Sobte has spent this season at fellow Isthmian League South Central Division outfit Westfield on dual-registration terms, and produced an impressive performance in Westfield’s 2-0 defeat at Farnham earlier this season.

Farnham have also confirmed the arrival of midfielder Ben Purcell from Southern League Premier South outfit Bracknell Town.

Purcell made his Farnham debut off the bench at Harrow on Saturday.
