Police are appealing for information after an 11-year-old girl was touched inappropriately over her clothing in Liphook.

Shortly before 4pm on Wednesday 13 November, the girl was with friends when she was ‘bumped into’ by a man she didn’t know on Portsmouth Road. The man then touched her inappropriately over her clothing, although she was not physically hurt.

Police officers have visited the area to establish what happened, including reviewing CCTV footage. The Neighbourhood Policing Team will also be carrying out regular patrols over the coming days.

The man was white, in his 50s, with a receding hairline and wearing a beige jacket, chequered shirt and jeans.
